Activities & Adventures in Val d’Ayas
WITH THE ALPINE GUIDES
The Most Beautiful Mountains Are Reached with Those Who Know Them.
Some experiences cannot be improvised.
They require preparation, respect for the mountains and someone who knows exactly where to place each step.
Our Alpine Guides know every ridge, every couloir and every metre of these mountains. With them, Val d’Ayas becomes something more than a backdrop — it becomes a place where something meaningful happens.
Mountaineering
The world seen from above, surrounded by the majesty of Monte Rosa and beneath a sky that somehow feels closer than usual.
Roccia Nera, Breithorn, Castor, Pollux, Lyskamm and Capanna Margherita: each summit tells its own story. Our guides will help you choose the route best suited to your experience level and to current mountain conditions.
Whether along an exposed ridge or via the normal route, the thrill is guaranteed.
Climbing
From your very first sport climbing lesson to individual or group courses, from a day at the crag to multi-pitch climbing routes, our guides will introduce you to a sport built on trust: trust in yourself, in your climbing partners and in the mountains.
Suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced climbers looking to take the next step.
All Mountain Summer Camp
For children and teenagers who want to experience the mountains in an active and engaging way, our guides organise the All Mountain Summer Camps: a programme packed with activities designed for young people aged 6 to 13.
Climbing, trekking, mountain biking and zip-line adventures: every activity is carefully designed to inspire excitement, independence and respect for nature.
Available as either a weekly programme (Monday to Friday) or as individual daily sessions — the perfect complement to your stay at the hotel.
GUEST INFORMATION: For information and bookings, please ask at reception or contact the guides directly.
Heliskiing
Heliskiing is more than just a sport. It is the pure thrill of carving through untouched powder in a place where there are no lifts, no marked pistes and no other tracks.
The Monte Rosa massif is considered the birthplace of heliskiing in Italy, with more than 15 authorised landing sites and descents starting from over 4,000 metres above sea level.
Imagine taking off from Champoluc and landing directly on the Lys Glacier, at the foot of the Lyskamm. From there begins an unforgettable descent where the only sound you’ll hear is your skis gliding through fresh snow.
The Alpine Guides of the Ayas Mountain Guides association take care of everything, from planning the descent to ensuring safety at high altitude.
All you have to do is enjoy the ride.
GUEST INFORMATION: If weather conditions prevent flying, the guides will take you to discover the Monterosa Freeride Paradise among the legendary couloirs of Indren.
